Studies on the Pathogenic E.Coli in Korean lnfant

Abstract
|
|
|
The author has done bacteriological examination and glycolytic test on 23 strains of 0 antigenic-type, 0111: B4 of E. Coli isolated from healthy and diarrheal children of Korea and the following results were obtained;
1) The all strains examined simultaneously belonged to type I of IMVIC system by ordinary biological examination.
2) The all strains analyzed equally for the Dulcit, Sucrose, Mannit, Glucose, Arabinose, Xylose, and Maltose among 10 examined sugars, however, Salicine wasn´t analyzed by 2 strains, Lactose wasn´t analyzed by 13 strains, and Inocit wasn´t analyzed by 13 strains.
3) There wasn´t any, outstanding difference between the strains isolated from healthy and diarrheal children in the glycolytic attitude, however in the analyzing attitudes of Salicin, Lactose, and Inocit, there were some differences.
4) The all strains were classified into 4 types by associated modes of analyzed Salicin, Lactose, and Inocit, however, almost all strains analyzed the forementioned 3 sugars.
